I am a sessional lecturer at Kingston University and Coventry University, film critic and writer. Currently, I work mainly within the area of East Asian Cinema and Cultures. I am writing a book on Korean Horror Cinema to follow my book on Japanese Horror (Introduction to Japanese Horror Film, EUP, 2008). I am an Editor for Electronic Journal of Japanese Studies and on the Steering Committee for "Evil and Human Wickedness" and "Fear, Terror and Horror"- two of the many conferences projects run by Inter-disciplinary Net.
